One of the photos I took of the balsa wood, showed a lot of depth. I put the camera on manual focus and adjusted which area of the composition I wanted to be focused on. I also took a picture of blocks with balsa wood placed randomly with food coloring and a black background. We used a 2.8 f-stop for a shallow depth of field. For the photos we took in class, my favorite picture was of the balsa wood with the black back drop. There is a source of light coming in from the top which helps create a shadow and show much depth.
